I was finally starting to feel great—then Bell threw me for a loop. I couldn’t believe it when I got my bill this month and it was $100 more than last month! They raised my internet by $88. In a moment of frustration, I cancelled it on the spot.
Then reality hit—I couldn’t do anything without internet. So I signed up with Cogeco, and yesterday my son gave me the best Mother’s Day gift: he came over and set up my wireless for me. Big sigh of relief!
April Meeting
Sue did a demo on how to fold your quilts and tuck them neatly into a pillowcase. That was a very funny time watching Sue and Anita getting that quilt into a pillowcase.
We were amazed by the beautiful quilts that Amanda Maass showed us! Amanda designed and runs the Guild’s website, and I’ve been so impressed with everything she does—this was a great presentation.
May Meeting
May will be a very busy meeting.
General Meeting
There will be a general meeting to vote on the executive positions that need to be filled.
Also we will have a vote on raising the membership fees to $40.00 starting next year.
A reminder also that if the fees are paid in June you will have your name in for a free membership next year. Fees can be paid by e-transfer, cash or cheque but must be received by June 30th for the draw.
There will be a financial report for the guild as well as a quilt show report.
Program
The program for the meeting is Pat Dubyk who will be showing us Barn Quilts. I have been waiting all year for this meeting!!!
Quilt show Results
Sue will be presenting ribbons for all the Quilts that won at the Quilt show...
She will also speak about the success of this show—financially, it was the most successful one we've ever had.

Don’t forget to bring a Pink fat quarter for the draw. I may have to bring a fat quarter to the meeting. MY stash is lacking in Pink!
Also bring some extra cash for the 50/50 draw. Tickets are $2.00 each or 3 for $5.00
.Stitch and Chat
Thjere will be a stitch and chat on Saturday. This link will get you on the chat each month this year including the summer months. The time will remain the same from 12 to 2 or whenever we quit chatting. This will give everyone a chance to connect with other quilters from our guild plus any past or future members that want to chat with us, all summer long. Here's the link:
